The Bay’s trained skateboard instructors help youth ages 5-18 develop social-emotional, and technical skills on and off the board, from beginners to advanced. Skate School is divided into four skill levels, requiring demonstrated social-emotional learning — like etiquette, grit and confidence — along the way.
Skate School at Millwork Commons’ Skate Spot in Omaha is offered in eight-week sessions, which encourages students to come every week to hone in on their technical skills. Registration includes a free skateboard and helmet rental. You’re also welcome to bring your own! Helmets and a waiver are required. **A waiver MUST be completed HERE by a guardian prior to attending.**
Levels 1-2
This registration is for any student who is a beginner at skateboarding. Students will learn everything from how to safely get on and off a skateboard to how to carve through cones. If you are unsure which level your child should be registered for, register for this one (Levels 1-2).
Levels 3-4
This registration is for any student who is intermediate to advanced at skateboarding. Students will learn everything from how to drop in on a quarterpipe to 180 ollies and flip tricks. If you are unsure which level your child should be registered for, register for Levels 1-2. Skate Instructors will assess each student’s level in your child’s first week.
